Why UPS Shipping is not showing in my shipping options on checkout?

If you're not seeing rates during checkout, there are a few things that you'll want to check:

1. Do you have a username and password setup at http://ups.com
2. Do you have a ups API key in good standing? Can be obtained through http://ups.com
3. Do you have an active UPS Account Number?
4. Do the products have weights assigned?

All of those credentials can be obtained for free through the UPS website if you don't have them. If you already have an account number and are shipping UPS, you might want to contact your account representative as well. They'll make sure that your account is matched up to the UPS username and password.

UPS shipping not working

UPS needs to have weight and dimensions both in either metric or imperial, not conflicting. Make sure that the your Jigoshop settings are either in inches / pounds or cm / kg.

Error after automatic upgrade

Q: I upgraded the Jigoshop plugin, and now i get this error: Fatal error: Class 'jigoshop_calculable_shipping' not found in .../wp-content/plugins/jigoshop-ups/shipping-ups.php on line 20. How can this be fixed?

A: Via FTP in the UPS plugin folder located .../wp-content/plugins/jigoshop-ups/ prefix the UPS plugin folder with z- so it becomes z-jigoshop-ups.

UPS Shipping plugin not calculating shipping in some cases

Q: I installed the UPS shipping plugin and for the most part, it's working great, but it looks like there's a bug in the recent version. What's happening is that a customer can input an invalid zip code into the zip code box and when that happens the page indicates that the shipping costs have been updated, but when the customer goes to check out, no shipping costs have been added, and when the customer checks "Place order" he or she gets the "invalid shipping method" error. This seems like a bug to me.

A: It's not a bug. What they're looking for is an address validation service. Just like any shipping method for Jigoshop, if a valid postal code isn't entered, the shipping method won't return any rates. It sounds like what they're looking for is an Address Validation service. This would have to be built out separately and is outside the scope of the extension.
