I'm very interested in this as well...Is a MUST have for us.
However with that said, Shouldn't there be able to be a way to create a products page that is only available to a specific group of members (via roles manager or something) displaying only those products to the appropriate dealers/distributors?
Then its secure, and anyone from that company could log in and purchase products. Also important info like licensing could be kept under that user's/company's profile.
This would take care of tax (non taxable product at a reduced price).

I've gotten around this by using the role scoper plugin and creating different account type roles and access to pages with specific products for each authorized role.
