Define Post Type Capabilities for products & orders
Hi there,
I found several posts here on user & role capabilities regarding the management. We ourselves run into the problem that we cannot define roles with several capabilities regarding posts, products and orders.
The solution to this is pretty simple: When the custom post types are created the 'capability_type' has to be set to a individual one and not just 'post'. Not to forget to set the roles initially for the admin.
Problem is that the plugin lost the ability to update without interference.

Sorry could you explain that bit there? And I see what you mean about us setting capability_type to just post. We'll have to think of some nice way to set roles, it's something that I want to get in for 1.3.

As of now we can't update the plugin without a manual intervention. As we fixed this by directly manipulating the code of the plugin.
What do you mean of a nice way to set the roles?

Will the role for viewing/editing orders be included in 1.3? I am using role editor and trying to set it up a so a user can view and edit orders, but NOTHING else and I don't see those capabilities.

I personally would like to see an option in the Jigoshop settings similar to that of NextGen Gallery where an admin can set which roles can access which areas of the plugin.
Currently, I have a problem where any users but the admin can add coupons - if an editor tries to do it, the Coupon menu item is there but clicking on it just bring up the standard "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." Wordpress error message.

Good I should certainly pronounce, impressed with your site. I had no trouble navigating through all tabs as well as related information ended up being truly simple to do to access. I recently found what I hoped for before you know it at all. Reasonably unusual. Is likely to appreciate it for those who add forums or something, web site theme . a tones way for your customer to communicate. Nice task..
