Can Jigoshop handle a Grocery Sales & Home Delivery Website?

I have a client who is starting a local organic produce and grocery delivery business. They want to have the following functionality:

  • Customers order weekly delivery of groceries
  • Customers can be members (with accounts, order history, etc.) or guests
  • Products include a variety of preset produce packages (i.e. 1/2 vegetable + 1/2 fruit, all fruit, all vegetable, etc.) as well as additional individual grocery items
  • Customers need to be able to select desired delivery dates and times from a list of options
  • Shipping is Home Delivery via the client's delivery truck

An example of a similar type of business can be found at https://www.spud.com/index.cfm, but this business will be on a much smaller scale.

Is this possible with Jigoshop? I've used it recently for a different type of site but not enough to know all the ins and outs of what is possible.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    1. Weekly delivery...that would be just ordering a product, so yes.
    2. Already has this, so yes.
    3. Yes (you will need to use either variations or set up multiple products)
    4. No, but you could either get it integrated with some custom work, or you in jigoshop's settings, where it says url after purchase, make it a page that has a form allowing them to select times and dates.
    5. Yes, you will just need to change the name of one of hte shipping methods.

Thanks for your response. It looks like it should work. There may be some specifics that I'll still have to figure out, like on checkout having the customer select their delivery day and window from an available list, based on their zip code. What do you think? Is that doable?

Yes, and I would go about doing it like I specified above. That seems to me
to be the easiest way of doing it.

How do you change the name of a shipping method?

You can do this in the countries class file I believe. Edit the value in
    the array.
