Product Bundles: How?

Hi.

We have item 1 through 100 in our store.

For valentines, we want to combine a few of these into special "bundle packs".

Is this what "Groups" are? How can I display them to have one overall price, and show the saving ("sale") accordingly?

Struggling to set up packs.

Thanks for any pointers!

I mean where do I create a "group" so that the pictures, description, etc are automatically shown in the website from the group's component products? Thanks.

Any idea? Will I have to create new products when I need to group them? In other carts, these are called "Collections" or something. Thanks for any pointers.

I'm currently watching two user support questions about bundling products, so I'm hoping if they don't already have this feature - that it's one they will add soon. This would be very helpful for inventory purposes.

Link a few products into one bundled "gift set" and add a new featured image of the collective.

Cyberpundit, Is anyone ever going to answer your question?
Or have you found a third-party plugin or some other solution to this question?

I figured out a VERY, VERY LABOR INTENSIVE work-around to allow "bundled Gift Packs", but it destroys any sense of inventory control.

Nope. No word, as usual. I don't know who Jigoshop has hired for customer support, but when they respond after 2-3 days, they're usually pointing me to some useless FAQ item or asking me to disable all other plugins or something like that.

I'm considering other ecommerce platforms. Enough of this idealistic support for Jigoshop and all the hard work behind it. It was ok while it lasted.

WooCommerce supports bundled products from what I can tell. I'm looking deeper into it, http://www.woothemes.com/extension/product-bundles/ because they do offer much of their functionality as paid extensions, etc.

"I don't know who Jigoshop has hired for customer support"
Jigoshop hired nobody in this free "Community Forum" - users are here
helping each others... for free. Sometimes (if and when having time)
Jigoshop Developers visit this Community Forum, without obligations for
    that.

But, on the following link you can get full Jigoshop (developers) Support:
    http://support.jigoshop.com/.
You can try it and you'll see it.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. My support experience has been exactly the same regardless of whether I used forum. or support..

Hi, I am Head of Operations at Jigoshop, therefore the Premium Support Forum is my responsibility and I also take a keen interest in how the Community helps each other.
@cyberpundit I can see on Premium Support you have created 28 tickets all of which have had responses, most resolved and those that aren't are awaiting a response from you. Any requests that are deemed Feature Requests are discussed with the development team and added or some are built as extensions or not deemed of sufficient merit or in demand enough to warrant the extra development time. The response time we aim to provide is within 24 hours, based on Uk office times and not necessarily weekends. We do appreciate all of the members of both premium and community forums and their assistance in helping each other out.

As to the issue discussed in this ticket, Jigoshop does not currently have this feature out of the box and will be either a feature request or an extension.

Please look at my most recent thread. The "support" is childish, idiotic, and completely oblivious of my problems. It's pointing to idiotic FAQ items. It's a simple question, and while answers are coming "in 24 hours", the sum of these idiotic to-and-fro dialogues is more than a few days. Net net - my question remains unanswered after many days.

Glad it helped. Look forward to hearing about the permalink issue -- whenever you get around to it in 24 hours.

Support has a finite amount of resource allocated to it, if you keep commenting and repoening closed tickets then you are doing so not only to the detriment of your outstanding support tickets but also to others.
I will investigate your allegations of childish etc support but not in this ticket which is clearly answered.
