I am not sure which site has the update. I've been to many forums today. On the 2 ecommerce site I am building I seem to have been updated to Premium Product Import 2.5 1 comment said it worked. I have read another Forum suggesting that using WP-Ecomerce product export would work but I have tried it 10 days ago and it didn't. I believe MV has also updated it in the interim. I will try it out later on tonight and let you know. I don't like WP-Eccomerce or Woocommerce so I am praying this is a viable solution. I'm just glad I didn't buy the $95 version of Premium product import for WP-Ecommerce or I would be twice as aggravated as I have been the last 2 weeks. Apparently Michael Visser has had issues with every ecommerce product export plugin. Clearly it is a very difficult task given it's been an issue for 3 ecommerce plugins for nearly a year. Cart66, another ecommerce plugin I was considering, has no intention of even making a product import/export pluggin due to the difficulties. I love the way Jigoshop displays product and they are not as greedy as Woocommerce which was another big selling point for me. I really hope you can get on track with all the necessary features that sold me on Jigoshop and keep me rooting for you you given the situations you have encountered. Since it is open source I am sure there is more than one brilliant mind that can continue where Jay left off. Michael is taking a lot of heat over several forums and you know I put my 2 cents in on every single one of them. I just really want to move forward and afraid to devote many hours to csv files that contain hundreds of items with attributes that import backwards. All I wanted was 1 good product export to use as a template and create CSV files for 5 ecommerce sites

I have been. I like Jigoshop and want to stay with it. His wp-ecommerce plugin page blog looks more like a lynch mob forming. I'm trying to help find solutions. Sorry if I feel the need to vent every so often. I'm supposed to be creating a site and find myself desperate for a workable solution so I'm spending too much time on many forums descended from Vissar Labs plugin pages. Every time I feel like there is hope with either a new update or a workaround that doesn’t work I get very disheartened.
I'm not blaming Jigoshop. Every ecommerce site that is depending upon him for this very important feature is in the same position. I can’t believe only one person in the world is capable of a workable export solution. There must be some genius programmer in India, China or anywhere in the world that can crack this.

Even in India? Is it that time consuming? I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination but there are a lot of top notch programmers that work for pennies overseas. Seems most of the people doing this type of coding are from the UK. Would be great to find a Hero here in the US but right now I'm more concerned with my productivity than the origin of the program itself. If you look on the WP-ecommerce and Woocommerce Vissar Labs forums you find one person that says it works great with a link to their site. Kind of like they are shills because every comment after that are people experiencing the same ongoing issues.

I'm from the US and while I can't speak for all of India, alot of times
they charge more than we do here in the US.
Furthering the problem is that not every programmer in the world is
monioring Jigoshop. I think besides the internal devs, theres me, Visser, a
couple of guys with plugins on the Extend page, and a few more and thats
pretty much it. Most of the developers who look at Jigoshop are looking to
    make themes, not plugins.

While attractive themes are nice, I am a web designer, plugins are where it's at! Jigoshop has one of the best product displays around. Woocommerce is starting to look very similar. But I would give up display options, to a degree for functionality. Many plugins ecommerce solutions charge monthly for their service or make you spend upwards of $300 for essential plugins before you can learn whether or not it suits you store's needs. Many of us individual webmaster - Web designers - Writers - SEO people don’t have that kind on coin to shell out only to learn it will not suit their ecommerce clients needs. I went on recommendations and the all important import-export function which few ecommerce solutions offer. Cart 66 got high ratings but.... No import/export and no intention of including it now or in the distant future. I can’t believe there is no interest in Git Hub. My ex bf is a great programmer and I asked him if he had any interest in helping with the development. Haven't heard back yet. Thank goodness Jigoshop kept the plugin fairly reasonable, albeit expensive for me after having to buy additional plugins with the other 4 Ecommerce plugins that didn't work for my clients products. You wanna see some really angry people jump over to WP-Ecommerce where Visser Labs charged $95 for the sam plugin (that doesn’t work). I think there is a lynch mob forming on that forum.

You do realize WooCommerce is a fork of Jigoshop right?
They didn't write a new plugin, just modified an existing one.

As for the lynch mob, I'm not surprised given what I've seen on this forum.
It's not about Github, its just a time commitment to make and support a
plugin that most of us don't have. I already have one plugin I'm working
on, Autom8ted, and another I am considering "Drop ship plugin". Plus, I am
launching my own project management system this week, Kombineer, which has
taken up most of my time over the last couple of months given its
enourmous amount of code. Going to try to slowly compete with Basecamp.
    Its free+open source at kombineer.com.

Anyways, if I finish the drop and Autom8ted and this is still not taken
care of I might give it a go, but as it is I just have alot on my plate.

WOW. Drop ship would be an excellent pluggin. One I would most certainly use.

I am very aware that Jigoshop got "forked"over by Woocommerce and I have stated many times over over several forums why I HATE Woocommerce! I can't spend untold amounts of money for every nidgy plugin to make it function. Only to find out it really doesn’t.

Good for you Chris. I guess it's not your project but if you could get the export function to work you'll be the one to watch!

Blow them all out of the water and put MV out of a job!!!!
He is getting sooooo much bad press.

From what I have read on the Cart66 (formerly phppurchase) it is a very difficult and daunting task. When I was deciding on ecommerce plugin #5 Jigoshop and PHPpurchase (Cart66) were top choices because of their reputations.. It was the ability to import /export that made it my clear decision. I'll fix my themes once I confirm functionality, After speaking with PayPal my head is spinning. They are trying to upsell me.

Can you imagine with hundreds of products, several attributes and options how important that is to anyone who is selling more than T-shirts or fruit (the common examples used to demonstrate web stores)?

The import function works to a degree, however, all of my product attributes appear in reverse order. ARRRRRGGGHHHHH! Yes, I can probably go through all the CSV files and copy>insert and hope it comes out in the correct order when uploaded. Hey wait a minute. It was in the correct order when I created the sheets so now I have to do it in reverse. ARRRRRGHHH! This is so much more frustrating than I had EVER anticipated. I have built huge sites and got my clients to PR 1 in every sity in the US. This is driving me batty!

Hi Joy, I'm going through this and other topics on the Jigoshop support forum. I've responded to your original topic at:

    http://forum.jigoshop.com/discussions/problems/2235-i-bought-jigosh...

As mentioned on the other topic, "there's a broken link that has been fixed in the 1.2.6 Plugin update due this weekend. This broken link does not impact the import functionality of this Plugin.". A direct link to the Exporter Plugin is included on that page.

    http://www.visser.com.au/jigosop/plugins/exporter/

It would be of great assistance if you can list the issues you are experiencing as well as any feature requests, based on my reading of this topic in one reply I see that imported attributes are reversed, is this still occurring in the current 1.2.5 release? Thanks Joy.

@vissar Labs Where can I download the 1.26 update. I found another issue with premium product importer. It occasionally skips prices. I notices the WE EC version has been updated but not the one for Jigoshop. Also on the store exporter it doesn't export attributes or all in one seo data. When it exports tags they are separated by brackets { instead of commas.
