Sort Products by Price Low to High / High to Low

Hi, I’ve had a look around the form and think the answer is gonna be no, but is there a way to allow users to list products by price “low to high” and “high to low”?

I know I can organise the catalogue by Creation Date, Product Title or Product Post Order, but it would be handy to allow users to also view by ascending/descending price.

Regards,
David

    Hi davinian,

We have that as a request to implement already, but I don't have a timeframe for it. We'll see what we can do for the next release.

Hi Jeff, that's great to hear it is already in the pipeline - my client should be ok to wait, we are already phasing features into their new site anyway.

    Thanks again, Dave

Is there any news on the product sorting/ordering feature.
I really need this feature which I have based on Jigoshop. I also bought the cross/up-sell module.

@Jeff, could you let me know if there is a work-around or when it will be implemented?

    Thanks!

I agree that sorting within categories is an extremely important feature that we would love to see implemented.

Incidentally, I couldn't help but notice that the 2nd store showcased on this site (littleblackdress.co.uk) does have this feature.

    Probably some customizations involved...

so does the above comment mean that there is no progress in sight? this would be an exceptional add on- even a $10 extension...

    Hi!
We're running developement just after fixing some issues with other plugin. It should be done within one week so published within ~two weeks. If you need it faster, we can discuss possibilities via contact at optart.biz

Is there any plan to all grouping by categories?

    Hi Chie3,
Can you describe how it would look like? Additional option sort by category name A:Z and Z:A?
Do you need as well to show category names after each category group in this case?

So I have several product categories. For instance, Hair, Shampoo, Conditioner, Dry Finisher, and Wet Finishers. I would like to categories to come up on the page in a certain order like all the Hair, all the Shampoos, all the Conditioners, etc.....grouped together. Down the line, we may want to change the order in which the products display to have all the Conditioners, Dry Finishers, Hair, Shampoos.

    Thanks for the response.

It's a little different story: what we're doing is possibility to sort all listed products by choosen parameter by user when he's visiting main shop page, some category or search results. What you need is additional default product order type to be defined by admin. And due to the need of custom order and probably need to put header in front of each group it's a little bit more complex.

We will go back to this idea after finishing current plugins developement (drag&drop cart, products sorting and filtering, request a quote module) - it should be around month since now and next ~two weeks for developement and testing. If you need it faster, please contact us via contact at optart.biz to discuss possibilities.

We also have a client who would like to have prices sorted by price as a default for the shop.
