Jigoshop Paypal Problem
I'm having an issue where after someone hits the "Place My Order" button for PayPal, nothing happens and the screen freezes up. The order never goes through. Can you please help?
Thanks.

Did you check Jigoshop KB?
http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb/faq-extensions-user-questions/paypal-pro-extension-questions
http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb/faq/the-checkout-freezes-it-just-keeps-spinning
etc.

yes I did.
We are not using the PayPal Pro Extension so the first one does not apply.
The second link -
for the first part: "First, in Google Chrome visit your checkout page to get the spinning issue. Then hit F12 and click Console. What message do you see?
Often times you can show your host provider this error and they will fix it." ---------------------- There is no error displayed, it just hangs up.
And the second part is the same.

On the Console it displays this:
POST http://www.mysleev.com/wp/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=jigoshop-c... jquery.js:4
f.support.ajax.f.ajaxTransport.send jquery.js:4
f.extend.ajax jquery.js:4

In that case, did you go through Simple User testing (
http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb/testings/simple-user-testing) and attach your
WordPress web site *debug information*:
-
activate *wp-debug* option: guide
here<http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb/testings/how-to-turn-on-debug-testing-option>
-
try *reproducing* your issue
-
attach your WordPress web site *debug log* in Forum discussion you
created

i activated the debug log. but no file was created, so I created the file as mentioned but there was nothing logged in it.
I created a new Pay page too but nothing happened.

I did the steps you mentioned. It was initially giving an error in the debug log related to memory. I have increased the memory. That error was resolved but still the page is not loading when we click on place order. It does not take it to the payment page.
Now there is no error in the debug log. Please help.

Sorry, I can't help you on this as this is only Community Forum - users

I did post this to the premium support forums... there hasn't been any responses in the past 3 days... where can we go to get this resolved?
Support Staff 15 Posted by ivica on 13 Jul, 2012 08:06 PM
Premium Support is the right place, but I believe that the fact the new
Jigoshop Beta version is in testing phase is the "guilty one"... Just a
little bit more patience.

We were able to solve the problem. It turns out that there was a conflict between Jigoshop and Headway Themes. Here's a write up of how we resolved this issue:

Hi,
Did anyone get this resolved. I'm using a WP Zoom theme. How do I know if this is a Headway theme?
Thanks!

I've tried to fix this problem...
The console gives me this message: Failed to load resource http://stjernecopenhagen.dk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=jigoshop...
What to do??
Im not understanding all of the things "asgpress" mentiones in the "jigoshop checkout solution", but adding the extra code to the functions.php makes my page crash.
Please, someone... help me out :(

Are you using headwaythemes?
Can you check your php.ini file to see if the following line exists?
zlib.output_compression=On

Thank you!

The location of php.ini depends on where PHP was installed on your server. Your web host should be able to tell you the location of the file.
22 Posted by Christoffer on 14 Aug, 2012 05:38 AM
Hey there!
I located the php.ini file, and turned the zlib..... ON. Seems like the webshop is working now - though im getting a error message on the top of my page.
Any thoughts on that?
take a look here: www.stjernecopenhagen.dk
Thanks!

Christoffer, in your php.ini settings, is the output_handler variable being set?

i also have the same issue

I had this very problem. Soon after adding authorize.net, the PayPal payment button stopped working. I finally figured out that it was the WordPress HTTPS plugin that I added at the same time which caused the problem. Disabled that, and PayPal started working again.
WordPress HTTPS is listed as one of the plugins that is incompatible with Jigoshop due to problems with the FedEx shipping extension. But it killed my PayPal, too. And I did not have the PayPal express extension; just normal PayPal.

Here is the magic answer for the admin-ajax.php 500 error. Thank the guy who posted this on http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-ajax-for-all-500-internal...
I was checking the apache error log and I found this:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/teste/wp-content/plugins/ajax-for-all/inc/admin.php on line 229
I installed php5-curl library:
sudo apt-get install php5-curl
and restarted apache server
and now it works!!!
My recomendation for you is to explain that php5-curl library must be installed for this to work.

Nope, I won't do that
What I will do instead ... is remind that Jigoshop's minimum system requirements are PHP 5.2.4:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jigoshop/installation/
And as of Jigoshop version 1.6 due for release sometime this week I will be bumping that to PHP version 5.3 fully (and I'm really leaning towards 5.4 since 5.5 is soon to be released)
You folks on cheap hosting really need to find better alternatives.
