UPS shipping not working
hi,
bought and installed the plugin, registered at ups.com, got all needed credentials (user id, password, api key & accountnumber) and configured the plugin. all products had weight added already, but when you select "calculate shipping" on the cart screen not much happens, the page doesn't stop loading, and the shop is unusable.
i'm using the latest wordpress and jigoshop version in a multisite environment.
greetings
alexander

Hi Alexander,
Can you send me credentials to you site so that I can take a look at your settings and what the UPS response is?
If possible, send the credentials and site url to support (at) sixtyonedesigns.com
Thanks!
Dan

Thanks for the login alexander...there's no way to tell definitively without administrator privileges, but all signs point to curl not being enabled on your hosting account.
I'd check that first, then if you want me to look further, I'd need the login you provided to be granted administrator right to add some debugging to the extension.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
as you can see here:
http://www.imageproduct.com/info.php
curl seems to be enabled...
I just granted you network admin access to the whole multisite & you should be able to switch the language between german & english in the backend as well
Greetings
alexander

Hi Alexander,
I was able to look at your installation, and your site is hanging on send_to_shipping_server() located in jigoshop's jigoshop_calculable_shipping class (jigoshop/shipping/jigoshop_calculable_shipping.php). This seems to be inline with what I originally expected - a curl issue. This is jigoshop's core function that uses curl to send requests to carriers.
If you haven't already, you'll want to make sure that you turn debugging on in your wp_config and check your php error logs. This should tell you what the error is.
Thanks,
Dan

I'm having the same problem here. Shouldn't your plugin generate some kind of error message?

Hi,
If you're experiencing the same problem, ie curl related issues, then the error is being thrown by jigoshop_calculable_shipping.php which is part of the core jigoshop core code. Curl related issues would need to be debugged at the server instance.
Thanks,
Dan

OK. I've set WP_DEBUG to true, and it appears that curl is enabled. Here's what phpinfo has to say:
curl
cURL support enabled
cURL Information libcurl/7.24.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5
I'm still not getting any shipping calculations, nor am I getting any kind of error messages, either on screen or in the server error log. Do you have any other suggestions?

Sorry, after reading the support FAQ, I figured out what was wrong. None of the products had any weights!
My bad.

Hello. I have also purchased and installed this plugin and am seeing no results.
1. Shipping is enabled and all UPS credentials and API Key have been entered and double checked
2. Weights have been added to all products
3. PHP info indicates that curl is installed
4. WP_config is enabled and no errors are being generated, or logged to php logs
There are no loading problems, the shipping options simply are not available on the checkout page. The site in question is http://annoukis.com/collections and I am happy to provide login credentials if anyone is able to help.
Thank you in advance!

For anybody having the same issue—apparently UPS needs to have weight and dimensions both in either metric or imperial, not conflicting. Make sure that the your jigoshop settings are either in inches / pounds, or cm / kg. Thanks for clearing this up Dan...
