Skill / Moneybookers with german payment methods possible?
Hi,
I would like to use Jigoshop for a the German Shop www.echt-leder.com. At the moment the shop is running with the eShop Plugin, but your plugin seems to be better since I would like to offer a credit card payment with Skill/Moneybookers. I have created a demoshop with this Payment Gateway: v20.echt-leder.com The gateway seems to work but it offers the Skill payment methods for the US market which are different to the German ones.
I already contacted Skill, they asked me to change the shopsettings to language=DE but I cannot find a way to do this change. I think this feature is not implemented yet, or is there a way?

No I wouldn't convert all codes in Jigoshop. You will surely get the next problem with another gateway, which uses the Iso2 codes you already have.
The most comfortable way to solve these kind of problems would be definig a new array $iso3 with the iso2 keys as key and the iso3 keys as value.
'DE' => 'GER' The list could be easily copied from one of the wikipedia pages: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO-3166-1-Kodierliste
It seems to be a lot of work, yes. And from your point of view Skrill seems to be one of a lot payment gateways.
Let's see it from a marketing point of view:
Wordpress could be a great tool for small shops which are included perfectly in the website, run on small servers...
Unfortunatly the usage in Germany is very limited. Since our very complicated taxation laws and laws for payment security etc. most payment providers limit their services so that they are not usable by German clients or that they are not usable with a credit card payment.
Offering credit card payments normally means for German merchands a lot of paper, special contracts with banks and payment providers who collect about 30€ / month for just being there.
Skrill seems to be the only payment provider who has solved this and offers an easy credit card payment for German shops. Correct me if I am wrong.
As soon as I want to build a shop with credit card payment - and every serious shop needs it - I am not able to build it with wordpress.
Some other shop plugins, e g Woocommerce Or wpStoreCart seem to have implemented the Skrill gateway but I don't know if they have solved this problem and they don't advert to be compatible with German market.

Hi Matt,
I checked the RC3 a few minutes ago. There is still Great Britain set as Country. So I get a German Skrill with UKs payment methods.

I've just committed it, so it should be in the next beta push. RC4 I'm assuming.
