Shop page side menu
Hi all,
I have just installed Jigoshop and one issue I have is that ONLY on the shop page, the right hand side menu area moves right down to the bottom of the page. I am aware that Jigoshop is only tested to work in Twenty Ten/Eleven, but any pointers would be great.

Its actually tested to work in a variety of themes that are made by
JigoWatt, and by third party developers.
What theme are you using and have you wrapped it?

Wow!
Hi Chris,
Didn't expect a reply so soon, thanks.
The theme I am working on for a friend is - Purple Pastels 6.16 by Mel Pedley
Have I wrapped it? I have no idea what you mean - sorry newbie here.
Steve.

Hi there,
We pride our selves on support. Themes must be wrapped for Jigoshop so that
items (like the sidebar on your shop page), appear in the right areas. If
you have some PHP knowledge you can use this tutorial to wrap your theme:
http://forum.jigoshop.com/kb/customize-jigoshop/wrap-your-themes-content-for-jigoshop
Else you can try asking your theme's author or hiring someone via our Jobs
area.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the info, I did take a look, but to be honest the code went over my head.
As there any way to remove/disable the sidebar?

It depends on your theme. The simplest solution would be to go to Pages
in the wordpress backend, and find the "shop" page. Hover over it, and
click "edit". Next on the right hand size there should be a page templates
area. The type you are going to want to select is probably called
"full-size" or "full-screen" or "full width".

I have found that I can remove it by editing the sidebar.php
That will have to do for now, will spend more time on it later.
Many thanks for your help Chris.

Mine also shows at the bottom, but only for the Shop page, the others are shown correctly. Yes I have already wrap it as well. I have little bit knowledge of PHP and CSS. Chris can you please tell me where to look for in order to correct my Shop page sidebar? Thanks

If you want to remove your sidebar entirely you can do so by changing page templates. If you want to fix the sidebar, I will need to see your URL and your theme name.

Hi all,
I have fixed it as I have ditched Purple Pastels and got another theme that works with Jigoshop. Happy days.
Thanks to Chris et al for your time and help.

why didn't my first 2 posts show up in here?
my website is doradostonedist-dot-com
and my template bought from templatemonster-dot-com author Svelte Wordpress Template number 34839
as you can see the Shop page and the Individual Product view page both have the sidebar at the bottom while the rest of other pages have the sidebar on the right which is correct. I have already wrapped the theme. I'm confuse as to why only Shop and Product page are having problem with sidebar.

Hi Chris
I am experiencing the same problem. The Shop Online page shows sidebar at the bottom while the other pages it shows side bar at right. Pls help, here's s link of the page I am referring to : http://styonal.in/?post_type=product
Also, the image size of this pages does not seem to change although I have tried changing the catalog image size. This size is too small and doses not attract the customers. Pls advice upon a solution. Thanks !

This is a non issue with Jigoshop but about your theme(s) issue - you will
need to follow Jigoshop wrapping guide or ask some freelancers to fix it or
get Jigoshop compatible theme.
